Physical Design Engineer

Silicon Creations is a leading provider of the analog and mixed-signal semiconductor IP solutions founded in 2006 in Atlanta (USA), present in Kraków since 2011. The company designs the clock generation circuits (e.g. PLL phase-locked loops, oscillators), high-speed SerDes circuits and fast differential LVDS data interfaces in various CMOS processes from 5 nm to 180 nm for the customers worldwide.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Full chip integration including synthesis and P&R of designs with hard macro IPs and RTL logic.
• Following the physical implementation flow including: Synthesis, Floorplanning, CTS (Clock Tree Synthesis), STA (Static Timing Analysis), PDN (Power Delivery Network) design, Place & Route, DRC/LVS, Sign-Off
• Cooperating with other departments: IP design, Digital design, Lab Team, Library characterization Team, etc.
• Writing and maintenance of technical documentation in English

Advantageous skills: 

• Basic knowledge of STA and SDC. BS/MSc degree (or during studies) in electronics / electrical engineering or equivalent experience in analog and/or digital circuit design
• Knowledge of electronics engineering (preferably microelectronics), particular in the areas covering the company profile (e.g. PLLs, Oscillators, SerDes, Interface circuits)
• Knowledge of the CMOS ASIC design flow (EDA tools used for analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, layout design and verification, HDL languages, scripting languages: Bash, TCL, Python/Perl)
• Excellent problem solving, debug, root cause analysis and communication skills
• English proficiency - at least level B2
